Gourd flask, maple leaves on stream, golden cords and tassels, Kyoto ware, Japan

Small flask or vase in the shape of a double gourd. Thin and fine, whitish stoneware covered in translucent glaze, decorated in overglaze, colored enamels and gold with a cord and tassels and maple leaves floating on a sinewy stream.

Unsigned/unmarked. Kyoto (Kiyomizu) ware.
