Sake cup made of porcelain, modeled at the top in the stylized shape of a plum blossom. The center inside decorated with a laurel wreath in gold, the sides inside decorated in gold over iron red (kinrande technique) with peonies between arabesques. The sides on the outside decorated in gold over iron red with the four characters Kai Gyo Ki Nen between key fret motifs. On the bottom, inside the foot ring is a manufaturer’s mark Fuwa.
The inscription ‘kaigyo kinen’ indicates that the cup was made for a celebratory event. Cups were made as a memento and handed to the guests
